Jen Fabe
Jennifer Fabe, RD Registered Dietitian and partner in Full Spectrum Nutrition, originates from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Past education includes a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy & Cell Biology), Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics & Master of Science (Nutritional Neuroscience) at the University of Saskatchewan. Graduate research included trace mineral, antioxidants and effects in neurological injury. Recipient of the silver medal from the Medical Research Council for graduate research. Successfully completed a dietetic internship at Hamilton Health Sciences in 2001. Trained and currently works with infant and children nutrition as well as adult health nutrition. Currently working at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Has worked in general pediatric medicine, surgery and now in pediatric neurology. Amy Pender, RD
Registered Dietitian and partner in Full Spectrum Nutrition, originates from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland. Past education includes Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Acadia University and Master of Science from the University of Guelph. Graduate research investigated the “ Dietary intake, activity patterns and weight status among adolescents in economically disadvantaged communities”. Successfully completed a dietetic internship at Hamilton Health Sciences in 2004. Since joining the dietetic profession, Amy has been working with both children and adults. In addition to Full Spectrum Nutrition, Amy works at McMaster Children’s Hospital in pediatric metabolics and with the Hamilton Family Health Team Nutrition Program in primary health care. Laura Collins, RD

Dietitian and partner in Full Spectrum Nutrition, orginates from Manitolulin
Island, Ontario. Past education
includes, concurrent degrees in Food and Nutrition (BSc) and Kinesiology (BA) from
the University of Western Ontario.
Successfully completed a comprehensive dietietic internship at Hamilton
Health Sciences in 2000. Trained and
work with all age groups. Currently
employed at the McMaster Children’s Hospital specializing in pediatric oncology
over the past six years. Also enjoys
working part-time with Full Spectrum Nutrition and within the long term care
industry. Principal Investigator of two
nutritional studies conducted at the McMaster Children’s Hospital, involving
body composition analysis and BMI. Some
areas of interest include normal infant nutrition, picky eaters, failure to
thrive, vegetarianism, iron deficiency, sports nutrition, cancer cachexia,
obesity and healthy eating. |
